Diplomatic Convergence at the Industry Crossroads; Copper Development Plans on the Negotiation Table with Saudi Arabia

 

 

On the sidelines of the 10th Yazd International Exhibition of Mining Equipment and Industries, a specialized meeting and exclusive site visit were held, during which Dr. Feyz, CEO of the National Iranian Copper Industries Company (NICICO), outlined the company’s new roadmap and development plans for the Saudi Ambassador to Iran.

In his detailed presentation, Dr. Feyz referred to Iran’s strategic position within the global copper belt and emphasized the following key pillars:

Production Expansion and Capacity Building: An overview of major modernization projects and the construction of new plants aimed at achieving one million tonnes of copper cathode production.

Green Technologies and Advanced Processing: The application of modern technologies in electrostatic extraction, along with the efficient management of water and energy resources across the copper production chain.

Mining Diplomacy: Highlighting the exceptional investment potential in both the upstream and downstream segments of the copper industry, Dr. Feyz announced the company’s readiness for technological cooperation and the export of technical and engineering services to regional countries.
