On the second day of his visit to the historic city of Yazd, the Saudi Ambassador to Iran visited the Mehdiabad Mining Complex, gaining first-hand insight into the operations of one of the world’s largest lead and zinc reserves.

During the visit, Mansour Najmi-Nia, CEO and a prominent figure in Iran’s private sector, outlined the complex extraction processes and advanced technologies employed in the processing lines, while explaining the strategic global significance of the Mehdiabad mine.

In his remarks, Najmi-Nia emphasized two key pillars:

 1. Advanced Technologies: The application of modern extraction and processing methods to achieve maximum efficiency.

 2. Strategic Opportunities: The readiness of Iran’s private sector to expand regional mining cooperation.

This visit, conducted in the heart of the “City of Windcatchers,” highlighted the strong potential of the Mehdiabad Mine to become a major hub for raw material supply in international markets and to strengthen regional economic linkages.
